COLDCARD Mk5 is out!
We’ve been hard at work, and we’re incredibly proud of the launch of the COLDCARD Mk5.
Launched in March, the Mk5 builds on everything we’ve learned from previous generations of COLDCARD, delivering meaningful improvements to usability while maintaining the security-first principles that have always guided our products. Every change is intentional: reduce friction where it doesn’t compromise security, and strengthen clarity where it matters most.
The Mk5 brings together a series of practical improvements across hardware and usability, all aimed at making everyday self-custody more straightforward without compromising security. From small interface refinements to physical design changes, each update reflects a focus on clarity, reliability, and long-term durability.
Mk5 Highlights
Improved Keyboard
The Mk5 features a redesigned keyboard for easier and more reliable input, making navigation and data entry more intuitive.
Larger Gorilla Glass Screen
A new 1.54" display protected by Gorilla Glass provides more room to review addresses, transactions, and wallet details before signing.
Relocated USB-C Port
The USB-C port has been moved to the bottom of the device, creating a cleaner and more ergonomic experience.
Enhanced NFC Performance
We've improved NFC functionality for faster and more reliable interactions with compatible devices and workflows.
The Mk5 is another step forward in our mission to build secure, practical tools for Bitcoin self-custody. Each generation is shaped by real-world use, feedback, and the constant goal of reducing risk without adding complexity. We’ll continue refining our products and pushing the standard for what Bitcoin hardware can be.
